Catherine LiVolsi is a freelance violinist holding a B.S. in mechanical engineering and physics from the University of Rhode Island. She holds an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and has been a student of Peter Zazofsky of the Boston University Muir String Quartet. She attended two summers at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute String Quartet Workshop, and performs around the state of Rhode Island in weddings, musicals, and church services. She also performs improvised music accompaniments in violin, harp, and guitar, and Irish fiddle at various establishments around the state.
