Ann Samuelson has been a member of Musica Dolce since 2000, performing as concertmaster, soloist, and first violinist of the Musica Dolce String Quartet. She is a member of the Rhode Island Philharmonic and the Hartford Symphony and performs with Eastern Connecticut Symphony and Good Speed Opera House. Ann grew up in Phoenix where she began her musical career at the age of four by taking piano lessons with her mother. At eleven she began to study the violin .Ann is a graduate of Indiana University where she studied with Albert Lazan.. In the spring of 2009 she received a Master’s Degree in violin performance from the University of Connecticut. Ann maintains a private violin studio in her home in North Stonington, CT.
